About the Book

Have you ever had an incredibly horrific first date?

Well, Lillian Prince has had a few—ten to be exact.  And thankfully, she, her decade’s worth of journals, and an old Hotmail account overflowing with “Girl, you won’t believe this!” emails are here to tell the you’ve-got-to-read-it-to-believe-it stories. In this honest, hilarious, and heartfelt reflection of dating in her twenties, Lillian takes you along for a walk down her memory lane as she recalls 10 eye-opening moments, 10 red flags, and 10 of the worst dates she’s ever been on.  Whether he was short on cash or just shorter than he said he was in his profile, Lillian puts her comical spin and a real perspective on a not-so-funny time in most women’s dating lives.  With candid advice for any woman who feels the pressure from the proverbial almost-thirty clock, 10 Dates Later is like curling up for girl talk with your best friend, while the guy you vow to never see again calls on the other line.

About the Author

lil-fullLillian Prince Mitchell is a destined storyteller.  The Washington DC Metro native fell head over heels with writing as a student journalist when she was offered an opportunity to cover a story for her collegiate newspaper at Morgan State University.  Her love of love, combined with her innate curiosities about the intricacies of relationships inspired her to lend her insight as a blogger and the feminine voice of the acclaimed blog, He Say, She Say, which offered relationship advice to anonymous submitters from a male and female perspective.  Lillian has also penned for numerous publications, including the Baltimore Afro, Washington Business Journal, and Sister 2 Sister magazine.

A newlywed, she recently married the love of her life, Tim, and they enjoy traveling the world together and making memories. When she is not writing or dishing out witty and wise relationship insight, you’ll likely find Lillian enjoying a good home cooked meal and a feisty game of Scrabble with her family.
